Chapter 6

“Man, I don’t fuckin’ believe you, nigga,” Tyrese said.

Tyrese was leaning in the doorway of Tron’s office toward the back of the club. Since the streets weren’t all that bad, they decided to go ahead and have the club open that night. Even if the place wasn’t going to be as packed as it normally might be, if certain dudes came in there, they would surely make some money off the bar. On top of that, they would get to kill two birds with one stone because Tron would finally be in the right frame of mind to really push talking with Tyrese about what they were going to do as far as making over the club.

“Nigga, don’t make it out to be more than it really is,” Tron said. “You know that was all she was needing to calm that ass down. She just wanted some of this dick. You know how bitches be.”

“Naw, nigga,” Tyrese said. “That’s you. I don’t know how them bitches be. Wanna know why, huh? Wanna know why? Cause I don’t be gettin’ they asses pregnant and shit. Man, you done really fucked up now.”

“Why you say that, nigga?” Tron asked. “Huh? Why you keep saying that I done really fucked up now cause I done fucked her?”

“Tron, dude,” Tyrese said, going into his fool convincing mode. “You know how females are, especially nowadays. So many of them think that if you fuck them, then y’all gon’ be together. You know…doing that happily ever after shit. I warned you about how to handle that hoe.”

“Man, watch it,” Tron said. “She gon be the mother of my child in some months.”

“Dude, I hate to tell you this,” Tyrese said. “But you know I been your boy since way back. And I’mma just tell you straight up. Is you even sure that she is pregnant, let alone that the baby is yours?”

“What you mean?” Tron asked.

“What you mean what I mean?” Tyrese asked. “I mean just what I said. Do you even know if that chick is really pregnant or not. Man, you know how chicks be lying and doing just about anything to get a dude to stay with them. How do you know this ain’t one of them kinda things? Nigga, you remember I told you about my uncle Charles. He only married that one chick because she told him that she was pregnant with his child? Sound familiar? See what happen with that? Nine months come and go and the bitch don’t even gain three ounces, let alone have a baby. He only wind up getting screwed and finding out that she was never even pregnant to begin with and just told him that so that he would change his mind and go back and be with her.”

“Yeah, well,” Tron said. “This ain’t that, nigga.”

Tyrese snickered. “Sure can’t tell,” he said. “The shit look like it to me, but what do I know.”

“Exactly,” Tron said. “Ain’t you supposed to be fuckin’ one of these girls or some shit up in here?”

Tyrese shook his head.
